Initial installation of an ideeOffice client
If you are using ideeNet, it is not necessary to install ideeOffice clients
for the idea management staff, since the Windows app ideeCenter is no longer required to
coordinate ideas.
If you want to install an ideeOffice Client for the first time on a computer, proceed as follows:
- Provide your Koblank update package of your currently installed version.
If you can not find your current Koblank update package, perform an update to the latest Koblank® Ideenmanagement software version.
- Copy the Koblank update package into a folder on the relevant computer.
Open the ZIP file and start the Setup.exe by double-clicking.
Choose your preferred language and click the Continue button.
- For data, select the folder on the server where the data is already installed. It is the folder where the subfolders are \mda, \let1, and \link1 and a koblank.cfg are located.
If you do not know the name of the server, please contact your IT.
Once you have selected the correct folder, setup will display more information.
- Check the ideeOffice Client again and select the folder in which this is to be installed.
- Click the Continue button to perform the installation.
- For data, select the folder on the server where the data is already installed. It is the folder where the subfolders are \mda, \let1, and \link1 and a koblank.cfg are located.
To be able to use the ideeOffice client afterwards, you need to have Modify permissions for the folder specified in step 1 and everything therein.
